James K. O'Donnell, Esq.
President
President of Equity National since 1992, Jim has shepherded our growth into a leading national title and settlement company and leads our team. Jim is a board member and co-chair of the Legislative Committee of Rhode Island Mortgage Banker's Association and has twice (2004 and 2006) received the Distinguished Service Award from RIMBA. Also, he is a board member as well as an active member of a number of national and local trade associations, as well as a long-standing member of the Rhode Island Bar Association Title Standards Committee. A lifelong Rhode Island resident, Jim coaches in baseball and softball. He is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School and Rhode Island College.

Peter Rumsey
Chief Operating Officer
Pete spearheads Equity National's mission to deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction to each and every client. Pete's previous positions include that of Executive Vice President of Global Sales for American Power Conversion (APC) and Vice President of Customer Engagement for start-up Why Data. A veteran of Desert Storm and Meritorious Service Medal Winner, Pete has served as a Captain in the United States Air Force Intelligence Command as an Electronic Combat Officer. Currently, he is heavily involved in the City Year Rhode Island program - a leadership academy for young people who want to make a difference in their community. Pete holds a BS Magna Cum Laude in Electrical Engineer from Cornell University.

Charles Buckley
Vice President of Sales
Charles oversees Equity National's growing sales force, developing new strategic partnerships in both existing and emerging territories. He brings over 14 years of sales leadership experience to his role, previously holding the position of Director of Strategic Partnerships, WW Enterprise Systems Group, at American Power Conversion (APC.) Charles is a graduate of Villanova University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Kevin Buffi
Senior Business Process LENDGINEER^SM and Six Sigma Black Belt
Focusing his efforts on increasing the cost-effectiveness of business processes, Kevin runs Six Sigma process improvement projects throughout Equity National's organization. Kevin collaborates with customers, helping to define and then align their requirements with Equity's capabilities. An Air Force veteran, Kevin holds a BS from Roger Williams University and a MA in Marketing from Bryant College.

John Chenard
Chief Technology Officer
Managing Equity National's technology direction, John continues to grow the company's mature e-Business capabilities, testing new tools under development by the on-site technology team. An active member of MISMO, the Mortgage Industry Standards Organization, John is committed to building a consistent and reliable operating and delivery platform, John has over 12 years experience with global technology in both the manufacturing and service industries.

Stacy Lanphere
Chief Information Officer
As Equity National's strategic information technology (IT) advisor and solutions architect, Stacy's primary focus is to align our IT investments with our strategic business objectives. Stacy has over 12 years of senior-level IT technical and managerial experience. A native Rhode Islander, Stacy holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Rhode Island.

Diane Blais
Vice President of Business Process
As a 20 year veteran of the title business and a Six Sigma green belt, Diane brings extensive experience and expertise to the Equity National team and drives process ownership and change management through the company.

Diane has been with Equity since 1995, beginning in a Closing Coordinator role, being promoted to Team Leader, Operations Manager, Director of Service Process and subsequently her current role as Vice President of Business Process. Diane's passion for simplifying and improving the way we manage our business has brought her to a unique position in the company where she can align people, process and technology to allow us to provide superior service to our customers. Diane graduated magna cum laude, with a BA in Business Management/Marketing, from Bryant University.

Operations Management Team

Equity National has built an operations management team that is dedicated to providing the finest customer experience possible. Drawn from local law firms and national lenders, this team oversees daily operations and customer relationships and is fully empowered to do whatever is necessary to provide consistent and reliable delivery of services. With over 12 years of experience in the industry, coupled with extensive Six Sigma training, operations managers have the knowledge and skill to identify and solve complex problems for customers.

Title Officers/Title Attorneys

Equity National has assembled an outstanding team of title experts and title attorneys with the unique blend of extensive real estate experience and strong interpersonal skills. Our title staff is experienced in searching and clearing titles, and finding answers quickly to complex problems. Most have had significant time face to face with borrowers explaining a wide variety of loan terms. With experience working for themselves or for small firms, our attorneys are expert in being effective and efficient, and have earned high customer (borrower) satisfaction scores.
