If the three most important words in real estate are: location, location, location, we think the three most important words in the real estate transaction are: process, process, process.
We start with a detailed process map to understand what our customers are trying to accomplish with us as part of their lending process. The team is then trained on the process and works with their customers to continually improve it. During the course of a week, our teams are reporting back to their customers on how the process is working - we call this 'transparency' - because the service process is mutual. Together, they hold weekly or bi-weekly meetings to assess mutual performance and suggest changes. Over time, incremental improvements that are made create faster turn times, better quality, and vastly improved borrower satisfaction.
A key lesson learned in applying process to our business was that a reliable and predictable result could only come from a documented workflow. In doing, we developed a methodology to capture, document, and collaborate on a workflow that enables us and our business partners to operate more efficiently. The main goal of the process is to create consistency and promote confidence.
